LPU partners CRISP for starting new Governance & Skill-Based Programs

Lovely Professional University (LPU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Research in Schemes and Policies (CRISP), for the university to introduce new verticals in public policy education, rural development, climate resilience, and early childhood care and education (ECCE). These domains will be explored through an interdisciplinary approach, enabling students to translate academic insights into real-world applications.

Present at the MoU signing were Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, Sh. R. Subrahmanyam, Former Secretary of Higher Education in the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Ms. Usha Sharma, Former Secretary in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sh. R. S. Julania, Former Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs , Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor of LPU, and Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor of LPU.

Sharing the significance of the partnership, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, stated, “This MoU aligns with our vision of making education relevant, actionable, and socially impactful. CRISP brings unmatched expertise in policy design and execution, and we are excited to work together to co-create programs that address the real needs of India.”

Operating across 14 states, CRISP specializes in capacity building and scaling social innovations. LPU Vice Chancellor Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu said the partnership will enable students to work alongside policymakers and development leaders, gaining real-time exposure to India’s challenges.
