The School of Commerce (SoC) of Faridabad-based Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Grant Thornton Bharat, a leading consulting firm, to integrate the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification into its 2-year Master of Commerce (M.Com) program. The new integrated program spans various critical accounting domains, including financial reporting, auditing, corporate governance, and US taxation.

This arrangement is set to mold students into adept global accountants by providing them with practical industry insights besides acquiring globally recognized industry credentials through a dual degree – M. Com with CPA certification.

As part of this initiative, Grant Thornton Bharat will deliver the content for both the M.Com and CPA courses, ensuring that students receive top notch knowledge delivery that prepares them for the certification. Students can augment their learning through skill-based certification programs, corporate exposure, and promising career opportunities worldwide, facilitated by expert lectures, workshops, seminars, and training programs for enhancing their future career prospects.

Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research & Studies, commented, “Our collaboration with Grant Thornton Bharat is a significant step towards enriching our curriculum with practical industry knowledge. It aligns with our mission to provide students with a holistic education that combines theoretical learning with real-world application.”

Dr. Monika Goel, Dean, School of Commerce at MRIIRS, stated, “The partnership with Grant Thornton Bharat LLP allows our students to gain prestigious CPA qualifications alongside their M.Com degrees, equipping them with the skills and industry exposure needed to excel in the global accounting field. This not only enhances their academic experience but also opens doors to exceptional career opportunities in top multinational firms.”
