The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and ROADIS – a Madrid headquartered multinational leader in the investment, development, operation, and management of global infrastructure assets recently organized a cycle donation drive across its 3 projects in Varanasi, Surat and Ajmer to felicitate 80 deserving girl children with the aim to help young girls overcome mobility challenges and continue their education without interruption. 80 girls from 10 schools across the state of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat were felicitated.

The recent event hosted in Varanasi on December 9, 2025, was graced by dignitaries from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), including the Sh. Vishal Chauhan, IAS, Member Administration, Shri S. Rajalingam, Commissioner, Varanasi Division, Sh. N.L. Yeotkar, Regional Officer – Bihar, Shri Pankaj Kumar Maurya, Regional Officer-UP East, Sh. R.K. Verma, Projector Director, PIU Sasaram, and Shri Arun Kumar, Project Director, PIU Varanasi.

Commenting about the initiative, Sh. This initiative by Varanasi Aurangabad NH-2 Tollway Pvt. Ltd. is a commendable effort that directly empowers students by removing mobility barriers and enabling them to pursue education with confidence. Strengthening such partnerships helps us create meaningful, long-term impact in the lives of communities we serve. I am pleased to be part of this initiative and encourage everyone to take forward similar people-centric programs.”

Explaining the vision of the company, Sh. Alvaro Santos, Head- India SBU, ROADIS said, “At ROADIS, our purpose is to build quality infrastructure while developing the communities around our operations. Through our social programs, we are continually working towards creating pathways to opportunity. The cycle donation initiative reflects our commitment to enabling safer mobility and supporting the educational aspirations of young girls in the communities along our projects. I would like to share my gratitude to NHAI for their continued guidance and partnership in creating tangible initiatives that bring difference to the lives of residents along the highways. And, we remain dedicated to driving more such initiatives that create real, lasting impact on ground.”

The donation drive is an extension of ROADIS’ ongoing Shikshaantra Plus program, implemented across 10 schools in India. The program focuses on holistic development and quality education, improving educational infrastructure, digital learning, enhancing learning outcomes, and providing equal opportunities to students.
