The Oberoi Group has announced the recipients of its two prestigious scholarships named after its visionary founders, Dare to Dream, Rai Bahadur Mohan Singh Oberoi Scholarship and Be the Best, Prithvi Raj Singh Scholarship, recognising outstanding hospitality professionals who demonstrate leadership, a commitment to learning and dedication to service.

Abhishek Singh Baghel, Director of Rooms at The St. Regis Mumbai, has received the Dare to Dream Scholarship, while Vinayak S. Nayak, Room Division Manager at The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace, Khajuraho, is the recipient of the Be the Best Scholarship.

The selections followed a rigorous five-month process involving seven rounds of assessments, including interviews, psychometric evaluations and personality tests.

Both recipients will pursue the Master of Hospitality programme at EHL Hospitality Business School, Lausanne, Switzerland. The 1.5-year programme combines virtual learning with a three-week campus experience and an international study tour to leading hotels, offering exposure to global hospitality practices.

Vikram Oberoi, CEO of The Oberoi Group, said the scholarships would support professionals with the potential to lead and inspire, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to the future of hospitality.

Shailja Singh, Chief Human Resources Officer, The Oberoi Group, said the initiative recognises professionals who combine talent, perseverance and a drive to lead and innovate in a dynamic industry.

Both recipients expressed gratitude for the opportunity, highlighting the programme’s potential to broaden their global perspectives, strengthen their leadership skills and enhance their contribution to the hospitality sector.

Through these scholarships, The Oberoi Group continues its commitment to nurturing future hospitality leaders and sustaining the legacy of its founders.
