Vijaybhoomi University to host Debate Competition for schools on SDGs

Vijaybhoomi University, Mumbai will host its first E-high school debate on 15th August 2020. It is an international competition for students in grades 11 and 12 from Indian and International Schools. The online debate competition will accord the winners with cash prizes worth Rs. 1,00,000 and certificates. 

The debate competition will conduct four Rounds. It will start with a Preliminary Zonal Round on 15th August, Quarter Final Round, Semi-Final Round, and conclude with the Final Round on 22nd August. Each debating encounter will be a 30 minute one on one encounter with an eminent panel of judges. The objective of this competition is to encourage students for liberal and free expression of thoughts and to discover/enhance the 21st-century critical skills like communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving. It also focuses on building awareness of a liberal and professional framework that will create deep-rooted professionals with multiple specialisations. 

The registration link is http://vijaybhoomi.edu.in/fornotfor/ and the last day to register is 10th August 2020. The competition will begin on 15th August and the final round will be held on 22nd August.

The students will be evaluated based on parameters such as understanding of topic, language, persuasiveness, delivery, use of cross-examination and rebuttal, and followed by Question & Answer by judges. The rules, process, and format of the debate will be shared with the participants once they register for the competition.
