Brig. SS Pabla appointed chairman All India Board for Vocational Education

Dr Brig. SS Pabla, Pro Chancellor of BSDU, Jaipur has been appointed as the new Chairman of the All India Board for Vocational Education for three years w.e.f 3rd January 2020. A mechanical engineer with M.Tech and Ph.D from IIT Bombay, with large experience in multiple infrastructure projects, academics and academic administration, Dr. Pabla has served previously as vice chancellor to five universities, Pro VC of one university, president of a skill development campus and director of two Institutes of Technology. His experience in the Army, in addition to command of army units, also includes engineering professional work and administration. As a young lieutenant in Indian Army, he has fought in the Indo-Pak war in 1971 as well. 

Speaking on his new role, Brig Pabla said this appointment will be an opportunity to contribute to vocational education at the national level, “I am honored and accept this position with great humility and thank Chairman AICTE for trusting me with this responsibility. I also thank Rajendra and Ursula Joshi Group, especially late Dr. Rajendra Joshi for the faith they have displayed in me for raising a world class Skills University in India”.
