AIMC conducts virtual orientation program for new batch

Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), New Delhi  recently held an orientation programme, albeit virtually, for its fresh batch of students who have joined its various media courses this yea (2020-21). The orientation program will continue for the first two weeks of the academic session, and has been specially designed to acquaint new students with different fields in mass communication as they begin their journey in the Media & Entertainment Industry.

Rubika Liyaquat, Senior News Anchor, ABP News, delivered the inaugural lecture where she told that media continues to be one of the most creative fields. “That’s why we have been able to witness great content even during present times. The spirit that media professionals have embodied during COVID-19 must be there in the future generations of media professionals as well, including all the aspirants and enthusiasts,’’ she added.

During the Orientation Programme, noted media professionals including Atulit Saxena, COO (Brands) Futurebrands; Nikhil Dey, Vice-Chair, India Operations, Weber Shandwick; Sujata Soni Bali, Founder Director, Miran Productions; John Samuel Raja, Co-founder, How India Lives; Umesh Agarwal, Documentary Filmmaker, and others will interact with the students through online mode.

The inaugural session was attended by Dr SK Salwan, CEO, Apeejay Education Society & Principal Advisor to President, Apeejay Education Society; Prof. OP. Khanduja, Executive Director, Apeejay Dwarka Campus; Prof. Sajal Mukherjee, Director, AIMC; Prof. Ashok Ogra, Adviser, AIMC,  among others.
