HCL’s TechBee entrance test–HCL SAT online test on July 10

HCL’s TechBee – the Early Career Program for students having passed 10 + 2 with mathematics / Business Mathematics in 2019 or those still awaiting this year’s examination/results, have an opportunity to appear in the HCL SAT online test on July 10. The test consists of quantitative, logical reasoning and language abilities. Exam Fee: INR 299 (inclusive of GST). Those who qualify have to undergo a face-to-face interaction (this year virtual) with HCL selection committee to prove ones mettle.

Under this program, candidates undergo 12-month training for entry-level IT jobs. Once successfully completing the training, they are employed in full-time jobs with HCL. Also, while working, candidates pursue their higher education with BITS Pilani and SASTRA University. They will also get to earn technology specific IT certifications to equip them for their job with HCL and  will receive a stipend of INR 10,000 / month from first month of training.

According to Sanjay Gupta, Corporate Vice President & Program Director – HCL New Vistas, HCL Technologies the company is expecting more than 10,000 candidates writing this exam and 3000 will be short-listed for the interview. “We have planned the test on July 10 after duly taking into consideration CBSE/ICSE exam schedule and then we’ll also have a second round of HCL SAT in October for those who couldn’t appear or make it,” he adds. Saying there are no major changes from the last year in the conduct of the program, which started in 2017. “We are seeing how long does this situation prevail and if necessary all standard and prescribed protocols will be adhered to it,” he adds. Saying the IT sector has largely remained recession proof, he hopes they will be on target.
