Navi-Mumbai based SIES (Nerul) College of Arts, Science and Commerce invited a group of 60 mentally and physically challenged children to the college and filled their life with fun and happiness. The children had come from five different schools—Aashray, TEC NMMC, Brahmanand, Sunshine and Skills & Ability School.

For this, a social event ‘Pursuit of happiness’ was organized in which these children were entertained and made to feel special and wanted. The event was graced by two celebrities, Anuj Sachdeva and Danesh Kanagaraj who talked about their take on happiness. “Every year SIESONS takes up a social initiative to improve the society’s condition. This year we aimed at the mentally challenged and physically handicapped children and ensured that despite their hardships they enjoy their day to the fullest,” said Shambhavi Dalvi Media PR Head.

The event started with a grand inauguration by principal, Mr Milind Vaidya followed by a buoyant dance performance by the students. It was a pompous event and the kids were thoroughly entertained. Various events were organized for the children and even the children portrayed their talent.

The program was organized as a part of college’s 20th edition of annual festival SIESONS, which is coming up in January.
