Labor ministry loses DGET training arms to MSDE, NIMI also under skills mininstry

Two verticalsDDG (training) and DDG (apprenticeship training) of Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET) under the union ministry of Labor & employment have been transferred to ministry of skill development & entrepreneurship (MSDE) along with all its officers and staff on April 2015 under an order with immediate effect. Staff of field institutes of training, apprenticeship training and woman training have also been put under MSDE. NIMI based in Chennai has also been transferred. Central Apprentice Council (CAC) and NCVT will be reconstituted by MSDE in consultation with Labor ministry. Two portals along with consulting contacts, SDI and NCTV also stand transferred to MSDE. RTI application will be handled by the new owner.
