
The 8th edition of the Chhatra Sansad India Conclave (CSI) held at Lovely Professional University (LPU) Jalandhar on March 25 brought together over 20,000+ young minds and some of the nation’s most influential leaders. With the theme “Vision India 2047: Bharat @ 100,” the conclave created an electrifying atmosphere of ideas, passion, and energy encouraging youth to play an active role in shaping the future of the nation.
ISRO chairman, V. Narayanan and former union minister Smriti Irani joined Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, Khan Sir, Indian Educationist, Jaya Kishori, Motivational Speaker, and Spiritual Leader, Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Tourism & Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, Dr. Maulana Kalbe Rushaid Rizvi, Social Reformer, and Kunal Sharma, Founder President of CSI at the event.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, while extending the welcome to the guests and students emphasized the immense power of young leaders to reshape the nation. Dr. Mittal encouraged them to believe in their capacity for change and contribute boldly to India’s vision for 2047, highlighting LPU’s commitment to nurturing visionary leaders who will drive India’s rise on the global stage.
ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan in his address motivated the youth to push boundaries and explore new horizons in space exploration and scientific innovation. He shared his vision of a future where India stands at the forefront of technological advancement, with youth as the driving force behind this transformation. Dr. Narayanan emphasized that India is not in competition with any other country, but is solely focused on the advancement of its own nation. He highlighted that India has already made remarkable milestones in space, and it is the youth who will continue to lead the way in making these advancements even greater.
Smriti Irani, (Former Union Minister of Women & Child Development, HRD & Textiles), spoke about the power of choices, integrity, and resilience. She encouraged the youth to rise above challenges and embrace their role as active contributors to India’s growth and prosperity. She highlighted the immense potential of India’s youth, urging them to not only excel in every field but to also focus on building their own enterprises. She emphasized that the youth of India are already incredibly efficient, and now is the time to channel that efficiency into creating businesses and enterprises that can drive India’s future growth.
Jaya Kishori, renowned motivational speaker and spiritual leader, called on the youth to embrace self-discipline, values, and purpose-driven actions. She encouraged them to build not just a prosperous India but one that leads the world with kindness and ethical strength.
Temjen Imna Along, Nagaland BJP President and Minister for Higher Education & Tribal Affairs spoke of an inclusive India where no community, no region, and no individual is left behind. His vision of India in 2047 was one where the youth lead with a sense of unity, ensuring that progress and opportunities reach every corner of the nation.
The event also featured a crucial debate on “One Nation, One Election,” chaired by Maulana Kalbe Rushaid Rizvi, sparking insightful discussions on the future of a unified electoral system that reflects the collective aspirations of the nation. Students also took part in the debate, enriching the conversation with their perspectives.
Adv. Kunal Sharma, Founder President of Chhatra Sansad India, emphasized that the future of India won’t be defined by leaders in offices but by the youth leading from the ground. His words rang with energy and conviction, urging every young individual present to take action, mobilize, and contribute actively to the nation’s future.
