Research finds that antibiotics are unnecessarily prescribed for conjunctivitis in children

New research from the University of Birmingham has found that a number of policies used by childcare providers for conjunctivitis are contrary to national guidance, and lead to unnecessary prescription of antibiotics and exclusion of children from nurseries.
